After having lived in the Western United States and parts of Europe for much of her childhood, Amanda M. Polanski has called Western New York home since 1998. Formally trained as a painter, she received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her diverse artistic interests often draw from a wealth of unique past experiences, whether they are childhood memories of military bases in Germany, photographing the cherry blossoms of Japan or caring for horses in Buffalo’s suburbs.  These experiences are often credited as major sources of inspiration for her eclectic body of work completed in a wide array of mediums. While creating everything from oil-based portraits to watercolor space landscapes to illustrated pin-ups, she continually strives to refine her own skill set while simultaneously challenging herself with new subjects and techniques.
